About
My first writing job was at a daily newspaper. As I worked my way through the grab bag of assignments reserved for junior reporters, I discovered something wonderful: Whatever the topic, if the person I interviewed cared deeply about it, so did I. I'd feel an instant responsibility to make readers care too.
These days, I channel that same instinct into client writing, with a special emphasis on healthcare. I approach every project with a personal interest in the people, causes and ideas at its core.
In addition to freelance writing, I’ve served as editorial director of Into Quarterly, creative manager for Connecticut Children’s and senior writer/editor for the Masons of California.
I also recently had the great fun of writing — and photographing! — a six-article series for Connecticut Magazine, exploring new towns and mixing it up with the locals. Here are my love letters to Kent, New Canaan, Guilford, Woodbury, Old Lyme, and Woodstock.
I currently live in the great state of Connecticut, my home state. I arrived back here via Maine, San Francisco and a long stint in Austin. Thus, I have an abiding love of Moose Tracks ice cream, the smell of eucalyptus, and Texas two-stepping.
