My first writing job was at a daily newspaper. As I worked my way through the grab bag of assignments reserved for junior reporters, I discovered something wonderful: Whatever the topic, if the person I interviewed cared deeply about it, so did I. I'd feel an instant responsibility to make readers care too.
These days, I channel that same care and attention into my business, LB Creative. I started out specializing in marketing, with an emphasis on healthcare and brands with big hearts. Recently I’ve been merging that world with my work as a photographer and independent artist. In the end, whether it’s a written profile or a visual series, it’s all about telling stories.
To that end: I also occasionally contribute travel writing and photography to trusted publications like Frommer’s and Connecticut Magazine — here are my love letters to Kent, New Canaan and Guilford. In the past, I’ve served as editorial director of Into Quarterly and creative manager for Connecticut Children’s, to name a few.
I currently live in the great state of Connecticut, my home state. I arrived back here via Maine, San Francisco and a long stint in Austin. Thus, I have an abiding love of Moose Tracks ice cream, the smell of eucalyptus, and Texas two-stepping.
